Indistinct Landscape; intaglio monotype - 8x7.125 inches
Inspired by ancient sumi-e landscapes of China and Japan, this print is made with an light-etched solar plate. Ink is left in the wiping process to suggest perspective and create an atmospheric effect. This technique produces prints that are similar, but no two exactly alike. Printed on hosho paper, the prints seem to glow with inner light.
